Unidentified terrorist killed in Sopore encounter
Srinagar: An unidentified terrorist was killed in a gunfight at Zaloora area of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Monday, an official said.
A senior police officer while confirming the incident said that one terrorist has been killed, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
As the joint team of forces zeroed towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired on the joint team, which was retaliated triggering off a gunfight.
Meanwhile, police sources said that searches are still ongoing in the area.
