03 JeM militants killed in Budgam gunfight
Srinagar, Jan 7: Three militants affiliated with Jaish-i-Muhammad were killed in an overnight encounter at Zolwa area of Chadoora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
A senior police official said that three militants belong to JeM were killed in the gunfight. However, their identity is yet to be ascertained, he added.
Earlier reports said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Chadoora on Thursday evening.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
