BJP holds national executive meet ahead of state polls next year
Srinagar: Ahead of state polls next year, the national executive meeting of the Bhartiya Janta Party was held on Sunday in New Delhi today, reports said.
Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda attended the national executive meeting this morning.
Notably, this was the first national executive meeting of the BJP since pandemic broke.
Reports said that the party held extensive discussions on the election strategy in five states that will go to polls next year.
They said that PM Modi also delivered a key address at the meeting, which was attended by 124 national executive members.
They said that several Chief Ministers and members from different states joined the meet virtually.
Reports also said that in view of the ongoing COVID-19 protocols, all state presidents, state general secretaries (organisation) and national executive members of the respective states attended the meeting virtually from their respective state party offices.
Notably, assembly elections will be held early next year in five states which include Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. (KNS)
