Fresh enrollment in Govt schools: SED to go for door to door campaigning to get more students

Srinagar: The School Education Department has asked the teachers and Head of the Institutions (HoIs) of Kashmir division to conduct the door to door campaigning to facilitate optimum fresh enrollment in government schools for session 2021-22.
The personal officer of Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) in a communiqué said that in order to facilitate optimum enrollment in government schools, all the Chief Education Officers (CEOs), Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) Heads of Educational Institutions are advised to conduct massive enrollment drives in their respective jurisdiction from November-10 to December-15.
The department has said that the activity that needs to be followed during the campaign includes door to door campaigning that shall be conducted by HOIs and teachers.
Besides, the School Education Department has also said that the rallies by children shall be made, parent motivation camps shall also be held by involving School Management Committee (SMC), village Education Committees (VECs) and other community leaders.
DSEK in a communiqué has further urged to update the village education register for identification of out of school Children, and Children with Special Needs.
The department asked all of the education officers to visit at least one or more habitations as a part of the door to door campaign in order to inspire field functionaries.
The officials that have been asked to visit the habitations include CEOs, principal DIETs, HODs of DIETs, Deputy CEOs, DEPOs, DIET faculty, Zonal Education officers, and Zonal Education Planning officers.
“The activity should include mainstreaming out of school children like Drop Outs and never enrolled students,” it reads. (KNO)
