Srinagar, Sep 07: Jammu & Kashmir reported 126 new novel coronavirus cases even as no death occurred due to the virus during the past 24 hours, officials said Tuesday.

They said that 34 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 92 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 326159.

There was no death reported due to the virus on Tuesday, officials said adding that so far (4410—2166 in Jammu and 2244 in Kashmir) have succumbed to the virus.

Providing the district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 46 cases, Baramulla 20, Budgam 13, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 6, Shopian 1, Jammu 4, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 2, Doda 7, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 0, Ramban 1 and Reasi 16.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include female (15) from Boonur Pul, female (40) from Aglar Pul, female (75) from Nowgam, male (70) and female (75) from Srinagar, male (27) from Anantnag, male (60) from Bandipora, male (78) from Indranagar, male (60) from NA, male (45) from Qamarwari Srg, male (25) from GMC Srg, male (45) from Rawalpora, female (45) from Batpora, male (62) from Jammu, female (NA) from Budgam, female (20) from Shalimar and male (17) from Rainawari. 

Moreover, they said, 148 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—25 from Jammu Division and 123 from the valley. So far, 320485 people have recovered, leaving active cases at 1264— 251 in Jammu and 1013 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 45 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
