Police prevents minor girl from committing suicide
Ganderbal, June 26: Police prevented a minor girl from committing suicide in Shalhar Dab area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
An official said that the police on late Saturday evening prevented the minor from committing suicide after she was found attempting to jump into river Jhelum near Shalhar Dab village.
He said that after noticing her movement as doubtful, duty officer Shadipora rushed towards her and foiled her suicidal attempt.
“The Girl (name with held), resident of Magam locality was pacified and after proper counseling was handed over to her parents,” he said—(KNO)
