70 year old woman dies, PDD daily wager injured due to electrocution
Srinagar, June 28: A 70 year old woman and a PDD daily rated worker died of electrocution on Sunday, sources said.
They said that an old woman received an electric shock near her home and died on the spot.
The woman has been identified as Safeen Begum, wife of Syed Mehtab Shah of Sonmulla Putwa area of Handwara.
Police Station Vilgam later registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a daily rated worker working in Power Development Department (PDD) was injured after receiving an electric shock while performing his duties at Ompora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. The victim who is undergoing treatment in the hospital has been identified as Abdul Rashid Teli of Zooribagh, Budgam. (KNT)
