Preparations for upcoming Talent Hunt Prog in Ganderbal reviewed

GANDERBAL: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ganderbal Showkat Ahmad Friday called a meeting of concerned officers to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Talent Hunt Programme in the district.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the program will be launched at Panchayat level in the district with the aim to identify the talented youth in the district and to provide a platform to them to showcase their talent in the field of art.
While giving details about the program, ADC said that the programme shall have a singing competition, music instrumentation and painting competition. The identification and nomination of participants shall exclusively be made by Gram Panchayat from all the 126 Panchayats of the district in the age group of 14-18 years and 19-22 years. Besides, three candidates shall be identified from each Panchayat in each of the three activities.
It was informed that the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages shall coordinate the program with the active participation of the Departments of Rural Development Department, Higher Education Department, School Education Department, and District Youth Services and Sports. The audition shall start from August 01 in all the three activities.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ACD, CEO, DIO, officials from District YS&S and other concerned.
