Hakeem Yaseen seeks end to bloodshed in Kashmir

Srinagar: Chairman PDF Hakeem Yaseen has expressed serious concern over the “fast deteriorating law and order situation” in the Kashmir valley adding that hardly a day passes when there are no reports about torture and killing of youth.
Referring to the anti militancy operation in Kulgam on Wednesday, Yaseen said “though not a single gunman was killed or captured during the operation, but about 60 persons are reported to have been seriously injured in the area, some of whom are battling for life after admitting them in Hospitals”.
“According to the reports at least 60 youth were injured in clashes with security forces in the village, among them 8 were referred to Srinagar for treatment,” Yaseen said while urging the governor administration to make the security forces and police accountable to SOPs.
“How long will this naked dance of death and destruction go on?” he asked.
“Enough is enough. This vicious cycle of violence shall have to end now,” Yaseen said while asking all the stake holders of Kashmir issue to evolve a joint strategy to stop ongoing bloodshed and mayhem in the state especially in Kashmir valley.
