Shopian Encounter update: Three militants killed, operation on
Srinagar, March 28: Three militants have been killed after nocturnal gunfight broke out between militants and forces in Yarwan area of Keller in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday.
A senior Police officer said that three militants have been killed so far, however searches are on to see if there is anymore body.
Officer further said that it was a hideout where the militants were hiding.
Meanwhile, a Defence spokesman in Srinagar said that the Yarwan Forest (Shopian) operation is still on. He said that so far three militants have been killed and weapons have also been recovered from them. Operation is still in progress, he added.
