Three Hizb militants killed in Tral gunfight, ops over
Srinagar: Three Hizbul Mujahideen militants were reported killed in an encounter with security forces in Gulshanpora Village of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
Notably, a joint team of Army’s 42RR, CRPF and SOG cordoned off Gulshanpora area after having credible inputs about presence of some militants in the area.
Sources said that after almost five hours of gunfight three Hizbul Mujahideen militants have been killed as the operation has been called off.
Sources identified the three as Tawseef Ahmed Thokar of Chursoo Awantipora, Shakoor of Laribal Tral and Adfar of Charsoo Awantipora, however, official confirmation is still awaited.
Meanwhile, a soldier also died in the gunfight while as two more suffered injuries.
More details are awaited as clashes have been going on in the area.
