Drug peddler held
Srinagar: Police arrested a drug peddler during routine checking at Jawahar Tunnel and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that during routine checking at Jawahar Tunnel, police party of Police Post Jawahar Tunnel intercepted a TATA vehicle bearing registration number JK02AB-8358. On checking the vehicle, 2.7 kilograms of cannabis was recovered from the possession of Mohammad Rafi Mirza resident of Ward No 02 Rajouri, who was driving the vehicle.
A case FIR No 272/18 under relevant section of law has been registered in Police Station Qazigund and further investigation is on, the spokesman added.
