Illegal timber seized in Baramulla village, 3 arrested

Baramulla: Forest Protection force foiled a timber smuggling bid in Baramulla village and arrested three persons, an official said.
He said that a team during a naka which was laid at Ladoora-Jahama crossing seized one Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK05B-1315 loaded with illicit timber.
The official said that the naka party seized the timber and vehicle while they also arrested three person from the spot who have been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Khan (Driver), Bashir Ahmed Khan (Village Chowkidar) and Mohammad Younis Khan.
Meanwhile, all the arrested smugglers were taken to forest protection office Baramulla and further investigation has been taken up in this regard.
