Srinagar: Hours after the former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti castigated NIA for UP raids, BJP national secretary lashed out at Mehbooba without naming her, asking that should the agencies wait till “they (those arrested) blast.”
In an apparent reference to her, Madhav in the same tweet termed Mehbooba as “terrorist-apologist politician.”
“12 weapons, 25 KG explosives, 110 alarm clocks for serial blasts, brand new tiffin boxes, ISIS flags n volumes of ISIS literature seized from arrested radicalised youth is NIA’s ‘election season’ act for some terrorist-apologist politicians. Agencies sould wait until they blast?,” Madhav tweeted.
Mehbooba had earlier during the day said that NIA should ‘learn’ from past where accused were later acquitted, after their lives were ruined.
In her tweet, Mufti had said that such declarations have already ‘devastated’ the lives and families of persons who were once accused and were acquitted after decades, impressing that associating those arrested with ‘sutli’ bombs in UP with IS was ‘premature.’
