Police conducts counselling session for ‘misguided’ youth in Anantnag

Anantnag: The police has conducted a counselling session for the youth who it said were “misguided” by some “unscrupulous elements” in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

“Police led by SSP Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan JKPS conducted a counselling session for the youth of District Anantnag who had been instigated and misguided by some unscrupulous elements of society to vitiate peace in valley,” the police said in a statement.

After identifying the vulnerable youth, police invited them along with their parents to district Police Lines Anantnag where a detailed counselling session was conducted.

“Youth were made aware of their capabilities and potential and also the ways & means of realizing their talents so that they would become productive assets for the society and their parents,” police said.

“Youth of Anantnag and their parents were assured of full support by Police. Anantnag police will be facilitating them in their studies and other sports activities as well as provide financial assistance to the needy ones”.

“The parents and general public of the Anantnag District thanked Anantnag Police for this fruitful event,” the police said.
