Civilian injured in forces action in Litter village

Pulwama: A civilian identified as Bashir Ahmad Mir from Litter Pulwama was injured when he was fired upon during a cordon and search operation in the area, police said.
Locals said that an army vehicle of 55 RR was going through the area and it was stoned near Jamia Masjid Niloora, however, the army personnel fired on the protestors which led to the injury to the civilian.
However, a senior police official said that a cordon and search operation was going on in the area and the person tried to run away and an army man fired upon him resulting in his injury.
He said that the youth is being treated in a local hospital and he is stable.
