Sopore family claims second militant killed in Budgam as their son
Srinagar: After yesterday’s gunfight at Chatergam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district in which two militants were killed including Let commander Naveed Jatt, a Sopore family has come forward claiming the second militant as their son.
Reports said that the second slain militant has been identified by Sopore Family.
He has been identified as Mehraj ud Din Sofi of New colony Sopore.
A senior Police official said that they have handed over the body of the militant to the family after all legal formalities.
Pertinently Mehraj was a OGW as per Police and was arrested during a naka in october 2018. However after four days of arrest he had fled from the Police Station and formally joined militancy.(GNS)
