Police detain two CUK students: Colleagues protest, block highway

Srinagar: Protests erupted in Central University of Kashmir on Saturday over detention of two of the varsity students. Their colleagues blocked Nowgam Bypass road, demanding their immediate release. 

To students identified as Suhail Ahmed from Shopian and Mohammad Ismail from Baramulla were earlier detained by the government forces by their rented accommodation near the university.

Scores of the students on Saturday morning took out the protest demonstration and demanded the immediate release of the duo. They disrupted traffic on the road demanding immediate release of the detained student.
