Stray dogs attack people in Baramulla, 21 injured

Baramulla: At least twenty-one people were attacked and injured by stray dogs in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.Reports said that a pack of stray dogs appeared in Kant Bagh area on Tuesday morning and attacked scores of people.Twenty-one persons suffered injuries during the attack by the canines as the attack has spread a reign of terror among school going children in the area.
All the injured were taken to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment, reports added. However, the lack of vaccine at the hospital created difficulties for relatives of the victims who had to buy it from private medical stores at higher rates, the attendants alleged.Meanwhile Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Baramulla Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo when contacted said that they have already given instructions to all the hospitals to make available all kind of emergency vaccines.CMO said that he will look into the matter as to why the hospital is lacking the vaccine.
