Curfew relaxed briefly in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH: Kishtwar district authorities on Saturday relaxed curfew with an improvement in law and order situation post the killing of two BJP leaders on Thursday evening.
The curfew was relaxed for more than three hours in Bhaderwah area of Chenab valley.
“Curfew in Bhaderwah town was relaxed from 3. 30 PM to 6 PM to allow people to get essential commodities however, the suspension of mobile internet services continued,” Additional District Magistrate, Bhaderwah , Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti said.
“There was no report of any untoward incident from anywhere in the Bhaderwah town and its surrounding areas in the past 24 hours. The situation is limping back to normal and in view of this improvement, we have decided to relax the curfew,” Bharti added.
The administration and the state police are making all efforts to restore peace and normalcy,” he said.
Pertinently, curfew was imposed in Bhaderwah on Friday evening after the killing of BJP state Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother.
The Army carried out a flag march in the curfew bound areas of Kishtwar while the police and paramilitary forces were deployed in Bhaderwah and parts of Doda districts.
