Lightening kills dozens of cattle
Jammu: More than a 100 cattle perished while as dozens others were injured after lightning struck AlalMangota area of Rajouri district on Thursday, police said.
Police said that due to bad weather conditions the lightning struck the village killing the cattle and damaging some Kothas as well.
They said that on the directions of DDC Rajouri, Mohammed Aijaz Asad, Sub Division official Thannamandi and District Sheep Husbandry Officer from Rajouri have been tasked to visit the area.
The team has been tasked to make an assessment of the loss, officials said.
