Over 20 Quintals of Fukki seized
Anantnag: Police on Thursday seized more than 20 quintals (2000 kilograms) of fukki during a raid at Sangam.
Acting on specific information, a police party of Police Station Bijbehara headed by SHO Bijbehara under the supervision of SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan raided the house of Tufail Ahmad Bandh, son of Abdul Rahim Bandh resident of Semthan Sangam Bijbehara (owner of Maha Laxmi Daba).
During search of house, more than 20 Quintals of fukki was recovered.
In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Bijbehara and further investigation is going on, police said, adding that the locals of the area especially youth have appreciated the efforts of Anantnag police in curbing the menace of drugs.
