Says India is super power because of Gandhi family’s services

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Wednesday paid homage to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 34th death anniversary at party headquarters here.
A meeting of senior party leaders and functionaries presided over by former JKPCC President Peerzada Mohammad Syed was held to pay homage to Former Prime Minister on her death anniversary.
On this occasion, JKPCC Vice President and MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga, MLC Mohammad Muzaffar Parray, Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, Gen Secretary Surinder Singh Channi, Gulam Nabi Mir Lasjan, Shameema Iqbal, Irfan Naqib, Abdul Gani Khan addressed the meeting and recalled the selfless services and sacrifices of Indira Gandhi to nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Peerzada described Indira Gandhi as a strong lady, saying that the nation would continue to remain indebted to her for taking the prestige of the country to the new heights in every respect.
He said “Indira always remained concerned for the overall development of every section of the country and worked tirelessly to strengthen the people from grass roots level. The empowerment of people was among the top priorities of Former Prime Minister.”
“India is super power because of the sacrifices and services rendered by Gandhi family to the nation,” Peerzada said.
Addressing meeting, Monga while paying tributes to former PM on her death anniversary, stated that the secular India of Indira Gandhi is being converted into communal India by BJP-RSS to serve their vested interests.
“The multi coloured and multi cultured Nation has become victim of Mandir Masjid politics on the part of BJP, but the Congress party will defeat their designs,” he said, adding that “it is the responsibility of the people of every religion in the country to save the nation from being called as communal, which will be a great tribute to Indira.”
On this occasion the participants observed two minutes silence to pay homage to Indira Gandhi.
