Forces carry out searches in Chandoosa, Shopian villages

Srinagar: Forces on Wednesday afternoon laid siege to Chandoosa village of Baramulla in north Kashmir.
Reports said forces including the Army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at ChandoosaKohlina village of Kandi belt and conducted door to door search operation in the area.
The forces also carried out a CASO in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said.
They said troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at village Lousdenu in Shopian following a tip off about the presence of militants in the area.
All the exit points were sealed and house-to-house search operation was launched, they said, adding no contact was established with the militants.
