Scores attend funeral of slain militant
Srinagar: Thousands of people attended the funeral procession of slain militant Shabir Ahmad of Samboora Kakapora.
Locals said that thousands of people from Pulwama and other south Kashmir districts participated in the funeral procession of Hizb militant who was killed in a gunfight at Babagund area of district Pulwama.
Men, women and children in large numbers attended the funeral while raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans, witnesses said.
Witnesses said that four to five militants appeared in the slain militants’ funeral and offered a gun salute to their slain colleague.
“They fired several rounds of bullets in the air and fled the area immediately,” a local said
