Class 4th post aspirants protest against DC Bla

Baramulla: Scores of unemployed youth from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday staged a protest against the district administration for failing to finalise the selection list of class 4th employees from past 12 years.

The aspirants who had applied for the post assembled at Kirapa Park here and chanted slogans against the administration over the delay in making selection public.

The protesting aspirants said that from last 12 years they are running from pillar to post to seek the selection list of the candidates.

“Hundreds of unemployed candidates from this north Kashmir district had submitted applications for various Class IV posts for which interviews were held in many phases, some twelve years ago,” they said, adding that unfortunately, the selection list was not made public since then.

“We are still waiting for the selection list. The delay is causing due to some unknown reasons,” said the protesting aspirants, terming it as injustice to the poor aspirants.

Aijaz Ahmad one of the candidate alleged that the district administration was never serious in making the list public on time. “We are getting assurances from authorities but nothing was done in this regard,” he added.

Meanwhile, the protesting aspirants appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene in to the matter and fulfill their demands.
