Three drug peddlers held

Srinagar: Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in Ashmuqam area of South Kashmir.

A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Ashmuqam headed by SHO Ashmuqam raided the house of Mohammad Shareef Khatana son of Abdul Hameed resident of Reshikulbal Ashmuqam.

During the search of the house, 03 kilograms of charas was recovered. Three persons namely Abdul Raheem Lone son of Mohammad Rajab, Reyaz Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Rahim Lone resident of Wajoora and Mohammad Shareef Khatana son of Abdul Hamid resident of Reshikulbal were arrested on the spot, the spokesman added.

A case FIR number 42/2017 under section 8/20 was registered and further investigation has been taken up.
