Police organizes sports events

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police continues organizing sports events Under Civic Action Programme to promote sports culture among the youth. These sports events were organized in Handwara, Awantipora and Srinagar.

The sports event in Handwara was organized at Police Station Vilgam which was inaugurated by SSP Handwara Ghulam Jeelani Wani. SHO Vilgam Bashir Ahmad was present on the occasion.

The sports event in Awantipora was organized at District Police Lines Awantipora which was inaugurated by DySP DAR DPL Awantipora  Shahzada Kabir Matoo.

In Srinagar, the sports event was organized by Police Station Nowhatta which was inaugurated by SDPO Khanyar Raja Zuhaib.

Hundreds of youth & students of respective areas of these districts participated enthusiastically in knock-out tournaments of Carrom, Volley ball, khokho, Badminton, Chess, and Table Tennis & Kabaddi.

The participants were encouraged by the chairing officers, besides; winners and runner ups were suitably awarded.
