Minister inaugurates Sports Week at GMC Jammu
Jammu: Minster for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat Wednesday inaugurated a Sports Week at Government Medical College Jammu organised by its Sports Committee.
Addressing the students on the opening event, the Minister said that Sports not only helps to build physical stamina but also helps inculcate discipline, determination to win and willpower.
Bali Bhagat maintained that the power of reasoning, and vocational specialisation comes from the academics but participation in sports along with the academics results in the all-round development of the students.
The Minster appreciated the faculty members for organising such events and hoped that such programmes will be organized in near future also, as the sports give the students relief from stress .
Principal/Dean, GMC Jammu, Dr Sunanda Raina, Chairman College Cultural Committee GMC Jammu, Dr koul, Chairman Sports GMC Jammu, Dr Denish and other senior faculty members of medical college were present on the occasion.
