Several injured in Uri mishap
Uri: Several people were injured when a government bus skidded off the highway and turned turtle in North Kashmir’s Uri on Tuesday morning.
According to local reports a bus bearing registration number JK01Y-0421 which was on its way towards Uri town turned turtle near TRC Salamabad when the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Reports added that in the mishap several passengers including students received injuries, however all the injured were rushed to local hospital Uri for treatment.
Meanwhile Station House Officer Uri Tabraiz Khan said that a bus coming from Kamalkote skidded off the highway and turned turtle in Salamabad area, adding that many passengers received injuries in the mishap.
He said that few among injured were shifted to District hospital Baramulla for advanced treatment, while rest of the injured have been treated here in Uri.
